Hi all,

Just got new system commissioned today - guys installing have been excellent, but scratching their heads on the batteries. I've got a Hybrid 5kw inverter and 2 x 9.5 Batteries. The two batteries are connected master > slave.

The second battery appears fine, but the first battery is showing a red light - tried switching on/off, Givenergy tried restarting calibration process remotely.

Any other ideas that could be causing this?

Is one disproportionately higher/lower charged than the other? They may not like being chained together with different voltages (my Pylontech ones get in a bit of a mess if you do this.)
May need to let one discharge to about the same as the other?

I was going to suggest wiring but the 9.5's are supposed to be idiot proof with pre-made ends. Does swapping them around cable wise (making the other the master) move the problem around (which would suggest cable issue).

Installer to check correct MASTER/SLAVE DIL switch settings
Master 0000, Slave 0001, while in the battery, check the USB stick/key is in there

Yeah, it was the misbalanced battery levels - all working great now!
