I am currently having an issue where the app changes the Intelligent Octopus charge time from 11.30 - 05.30 to 00.30 - 04.30 after midnight .
Have checked on the main website portal and it is constantly set at 11.30 - 05.30.
Does anyone have any suggestions why this keeps happening ?
App Changes Charge / Discharge Times
It’s not a gmt / bst issue is it? One hour ahead?
No , it reverts from six hours to four hours charging after midnight.
Do you have an automation enabled for that Octopus tariff? Could be that is changing it - the 12.30 to 4.30 timings are for Octopus "go".
I used to be on Go but changed to Intelligent which the app tariff shows.
For some reason the charge / discharge keeps reverting back to Go tariff ?
I have checked but the Givenergy app says Tariff Automations not active yet !
I too have also experienced this issue, even if I don’t link the Smart Tariff I’ve found sooner or later it reverts to the old Go times.
A tad annoying as if the car needs charging it may not charge till later in the morning and thus it takes from the home battery (The discharge window also turns off when this revert occurs).
Thinking it might have been an app sync issue I just used the portal and deleted the apps but no fix.
I think best to call Tech Support as this has to be a common issue. At the moment I have to wait until after midnight and reset every night !!
Do GivEnergy read these issues ???

Was there ever a resolution to this ? I have a similar issue with a new installtion. The commisioning and battery calibration completed successfuly. I chnaged the battery discharge mode to scheduled in the ios app and can see those times mirrored in the portal. But, i noticed in the portal that despite changing to scheduled discharge the eco mode was enabled (one that selects the optimum charge/discharge). So, i disabled that. But, still the battery continues to supply the house at periods of high demand outside of the scheduled discharge window. And I also notice that despite selecting home demand as the consupmtion type for the battery discharge (via the ios app) that at some point it changes to full export (not a setting i have selected). I can't work out why the export change type changes nor can i see any correlation with changes made in the portal. And i do remember to hit save in the app after making the chnages i want to make. Any ideas ?

sammyz Thanks for the update sammyz. What a system, a setting that impacts users but isn't controllable by the user....just bfore seeing your update i was back in the portal and discovered that my eco setting had been re-enabled even though i had disabled it and the system told me my change had been saved.

The app and the portal settings are making me feel like this is some dystopian reality. After my post above i noticed that at last the battery had stopped supplying the house. Which is what i wanted. Good so far. But, in the app i noticed that under the battery dischanrge settings i noticed that "consumption type" was set to full export, even though i had previously set this to "meet home demand" So, i changed it back to "meet home demand" then in the portal i noticed that the battery was now supplying the house. And also the portal was showing that "eco mode" had been re-enabled. I disable "eco mode" again. And in the app the discharge moe switched back to "full export". Argh.....none of this seems logical.........And now because i have passed the battery discharge time i set the battery is fuly discharging, supllying the house and over 3K of excess being sent to the grid - which is not what i want...........wasting me money.....
