Folks
I'm on AC 3.0s and 8.2s.
I often EV charge overnight with a zappi with an overnight schedule, in ECO+ mode which, without intervention, will discharge the ESS batteries. This is normally undesirable.
Until a few months ago, I'd (very successfully) use the timed discharge function (NB - not 'Forced Discharge'), to prevent ESS discharge during my cheap grid tariff window. This mysteriously stopped working, and the ESS would display odd behaviour, such as discharging at will.
This had led me to using the Quick Settings feature of the app, in order to throttle ESS discharge to zero during overnight EV scheduled charge (which brings its own set of issues, with which most of you will by now be familiar).
Particularly with the way energy prices are sky-rocketing, I'm sure that more & more folk will wish to make use of their various cheap tariffs, consuming overnight, and many of those with batteries, will wish to preserve their stored energy for peak period house supply, rather than release it during cheap tariff ops.
The problem is, that you can't currently schedule the app Quick Settings, meaning that you either need to be nocturnal, or set an alarm during the night to make app Quick Setting changes. This requirement is also undesirable.
In order to highlight this issue, and hopefully encourage GE to find a solution, please would any like-minded owners consider making a feature request, by logging into the portal, and from the main menu, selecting 'Leave Feedback' from where you can select 'App' as the product, and 'Feature Request' as the feedback type.
Alternatively, App homescreen / 'pizza box' symbol top left / Leave Feedback / / Leave Feedback / (again!) / 'My issue isn't listed / Feature Request.
I think that, if implemented, this feature would be something from which in time, the majority of users will benefit.
TIA.
