System idling at 55%

Ive noticed this the last few nights all at the same time. There's a constant loadfrom my A2A heat pump system of about 1.2kW, yet the inverter is reporting that the batteries and inverter are"idle". The load is being fed from the grid. What gives here?

Gen 1 By, 2 X 8.2 batteries. 3008 firmware.

Just set the car to charge. All load being met by the grid, with the batteries and inverter sitting idle

Zakalwe ours is saying dial but the dots are going to both the house and the grid ?

Zakalwe we have dots coming from our battery going to the house and the grid. which I had to force a charge as it didn’t today. I Donno if that’s normal but above it it is also saying idle

I had the same thing happening to me today, but at around 21% of total battery capacity - I have a gen2 9.5 as main battery and a gen1 8.2 as a follower. The main battery seemed to be completely drained (red light blinking on it), while the follower one had about half of its capacity left (2 green lights out of 4) - seems like an issue with balancing the load between them?

Right, got a resolution to this one, albeit one that raises more questions than answers....
I chatted with a CS agent yesterday on the LiveChat (full marks to GE here- the chat was answered in less than 5 minutes and a resolution effected immediately). The agent (no name given) said that a setting had been applied at their end which limited the battery discharge to 55%. I queried this as I had not requested this and no setting was in my web portal. The agent said that the change had been made in GE and that he'd have to investigate it as it had no notes or information to say why it had been set.

Last night I disabled the Timed Charge to see if the battery would work as normal. The battery discharged down to 22% and then a out-of-normal-hours Intelligent Octopus period allowed me to start re-charging it.

i doubt if I will get any feedback as to why this change was made on the internal GS systems. It all sounds a bit odd, to be honest.
However, it's working as intended (and I'm glad that I didn't see any immediate discharge to zero events).

I'm guessing that all the changes the user makes is logged at their end and since there was no record of you having made the change, the LiveChatter assumed it must have been done by them. I can't think why anyone would do that (at least without informing you), although I think I recall that you are on at least one beta test programme. Maybe someone was doing some testing and made a change to your system mistaking it for one of their "in house" test rigs? Or maybe they were setting it to 5% and got some key bounce?

Alternatively, maybe the inverter register contents randomly become corrupted from time to time?

No, I don't think that I am on a beta program with GE.

It's working fine now, which is the desired outcome. Worth checking for anyone that is getting weird results though.

This is worrying if the inverter can actually be operating to different parameters from what we can see in the portal. In retrospect, it would have been useful to refresh your browser and have downloaded the register settings via Givtcp or the API. If it is feasible that registers which are unavailable to us are used for inverter control, but battery discharge limit should be visible, and displayed on the portal.
