Probably not, I've saved a lot this year on prices that are close to the alleged capped price for electricity. And my system should pay back in about five years at this rate.

MICHAELSHELDON no, as you'll be saving based on the new cap in place. But then are you buying the panels to save money or live carbon free(ish)?

Not sure how you could "lose out" - even with the cap, a unit (1kWh) of leccy still costs 33p - more than ever before!
