We had our 2 x 9.5kW batteries installed yesterday. Calibration started mid afternoon and the installer said not to alter the system for 24 hours whilst it did this. The notification in the portal says... "Please leave your system while it calibrates. This will take several hours. We will let you know when the calibration is finished".

I've not had any kind of notification (battery discharged and then charged up to 100%). Did anyone else get a confirmation of calibration?

EmmetBrown no, I didn't get a notification when mine was completed. As long as it's done the full down then back up you should be good to go

It did, all the way down then back up to 100%, thanks!

Same for me, No notification that calibration is completed. Any Idea How long it might take? I am into the 2nd day now.

Marsden353 Shouldn't take more than a few hours from part-charged to zero and back to 100%. Once it starts falling from 100%, it's done.

Does anyone know if the Inverter is able to able to drain the battery, by introducing a "dummy load", in order to reach zero for calibration? This load would have to overcome the charging input of the solar panels.

Does the battery sit in Idle mode during calibration period?

sbird I thought it just dumps it to the grid? When my was calibrated I switched my iboost on for an hour so that used up the energy rather than losing it for nothing.

Ra likewise, I had the washing machine on

What you suggest sounds sensible (i.e. exporting to the grid) and potentially having an open circuit on the DC feed from the solar panels.

Good news everyone, after 23 days I got the notification confirming calibration was completed.

So did many others - apparently the field in the server database had not updated for many people to show a calibration had been run, hence the notification when Ge corrected this - there is an explanation in the "Known issues" tab on the portal.
