Looks like my problems with GE are not going to go away. Setup - AC Coupled + 2*8.2KWh 100%DoD
I was testing the EPS today after a very long time. Last time I had checked EPS (May)- the board had got fried, the engineer blamed it on lack of Earth bonding (sounded like a lame excuse). I already had an earth spike! This saga took around 5-6 weeks to get rectified after numerous calls.
Now If I turn off the mains supply to the Inverter(Either the isloator switch or the MCB on the dedicated distribution board). There is no EPS power - I have traced this back to the inverter(yes the wiring is in place)
Has anyone come across this problem?

Worrying as power cut backup to keep the heating on was one of my primary reasons for getting a battery :/

Was it tested after the problem was rectified? Sounds like you need to get back onto them. I have a few devices hanging off my EPS and I can see the power draw on the portal, so I'm fairly confident it'll all work should the power go off.
Tim My EPS load reads 0W when normal supply.
If I kill the input, EPS load shows the correct reading. Wierd.

TheDragon (GivEnergy) EPS shows 24-27W continuously on the portal (Inverter Data) for the inverter the EPS is connected on. Th either inverter EPS output isn't wired in currently and shows 0W all the time.

Hmm.. I used to have 0w constantly, but can see occasional 1W. I presumed these were errors similar to my micro inverters /solar panels producing 20ish W throughout the night.

ispookie666 i have solar all ight too. It sees the inverter parasitic load and network switch and wifi as solar. Lol.

Installer will be coming to have a look. Sounded a bit unhappy when I mentioned the smart shunt, likely the excuses from Givenergy will be along that line.

Sound like it's in the installers hands but is it live when your running? It should just take a feed from the grid supply.
If they changed the board before then it really could just be something daft like a connector on the PCB not clicked home although you would have thought they'd tested it before leaving.
Anyway - Basic circuit diagram for a related if not identical to Gen 1 inverter

Update!
After 10 weeks and waiting, I guess I’ll surpass my previous experience with Inverter board failure.
The issue has not been fixed. The installer has given up, I cannot blame them - spending half a day just on the phone to go through the basic question, given that the AC coupled board was replaced not so long ago.
I have contacted GE at least five times and have been on the "High Priority" list for the last 6 ish weeks, I received one phone call to schedule (looks like if a customer cannot be available for the day they provide/suggest - you are out of luck), this was like 3 ish weeks ago.
With such a bitter and poor experience, why should I recommend this company to any potential future customer?
