Timed Battery Calibration

Following a firmware update yesterday, my battery then completely discharged and recharged to calibrate the battery. However, being a bit stupid, I set the firmware update off around noon and therefore he battery recharge happened at peak Octopus Go rates 🤦‍♂️. A question for GivEnergy staff @Adam-Reynolds -Would it be possible to set a time for the calibration in order to use cheap rate on a time of use tariff?

Martyn We have a method of doing that internally, but yes it would definitely be good to get that functionality in the new portal now customers have access to do the calibrations themselves, I'll pass it to the teams to see if it can be built in.

Oh, would this be the case for a new commissioning as well? After the installers left this morning I was trying in vain to stop the system charging the battery since it was at expensive tariffs and couldn't understand why the battery would not respond to any change in model.

How does an end user initiate calibration - through a firmware update?

This an old thread, I think they took away the ability for end users to initiate a calibration a long time ago -- I've never seen it and we've had out system for nearly 2 years.
