Haddock

Combined inverter and battery pack 13.5kWh ( to rival the tesla powerwall and the elusive Gateway ( for balancing of inverters etc).
Supposedly 5kW with 7kW boost discharge.

That looks really interesting! If it does what the poster says, then that could be a real winner. I also noticed the interesting point about the Giv-Gateway providing full home backup (a-la the Tesla Gateway).
The chap that posted it on Twitter also seems to think that the retail price for the combined battery and inverter will be in the £7-8K region.

kram Agreed. Sometimes you have to take a pause and make sure the foundations are solid before pressing on again. It's too easy to keep growing and then the wheels come off. Too many flaky issues at Givenergy make me nervous at the moment - growth is obviously important but they need to get the existing products a) available and b) reliable as a priority I reckon. Hopefully the issues are resolved quickly.
