I’ve had no home Internet connection for the last 48 hours. I expected the Battery to continue to operate as per the existing settings, which it did for a time, but it has now stopped discharging to the house. From the lights on the battery it appears to be 100% charged.
I’ve tried connecting to the dongle, but not successful.
Any advice please?
Internet Outage

on the phone with the GivApp, connect to the Dongle hotspot wifi SSID. you will atill get Local access, but changes will still need cloud.
If internet connectivity issues persist, you could look at moving the Inverter to your Phone's wifi hotspot for s short period
TheDragon (GivEnergy) I’ve tried connecting to the Dongle. I can see it on my phone list of WiFi points, but when I connect I just get a “not connected to Internet “ message.

Yes you will, as the main wifi its attached to has no internet.
Will still allow you to locally connect with the App

Setup a wifi hotspot from your phone with exactly the same SSID/Name & Password as your house router.
Inverter should twig it's there (may need to turn your existing router off to save it getting mixed up)
Change settings as required using the cloud then shut the hotspot off again.
hoggy Yep, this is the way to go. It worked a treat for me.
I wondered about that option (using the same sid and password), then wondered about the security settings, wasn't sure if a hotspot used WPA or whatever the dongle needs.
Other option is get an electrician to wire up an EPS socket or other such solution and run the internet router from that?
Just use the default when setting up the hot spot. The dongle doesn't have any extreme requirements as it needs to connect to average joe's internet...
hoggy I like the sound of this, but I’m now at the extreme limits of my technical ability and have no idea how to do it!
I have a personal hotspot on iPhone called “Chris’s iPhone” how do I set up another one?

iPhones are not the most intuitive but this should change the hotspot name.
You’d then need to go back to the hotspot settings and change the password to exactly the same as your original Wi-Fi router one.
After all that then you’d need to go back and change the phones name I guess (is your outage planned to be quite a while? This is a lot of messing about if it’s due back on tomorrow)
hoggy Thanks for the advice. Probably best leave it, there’s an engineer due Saturday morning.
I’m puzzled as to why the battery is not continuing to work in the background on its existing settings though.
I've had the same issue with my battery not being recognised after internet loss and now I have the dreaded clicking and the battery reports itself as being a lead acid type. Waiting for confirmation of engineer's visit.
