Since middle of last week the App has stopped loading battery data. If you press tje battery icon (either the big one on the home page or the one at the right of the bottom icons) it just sits there saying "Loading battery data" for more than 10mins (at which point I give up). It has been like this for several days but previously was ok. Has a duff update been pushed? Everything else seems to work.
App v3.1.17.3104

Yep, mine on Android is broken in the same way.

Posted on another thread, tried the clear app data etc, but no joy.

Scratch that, app updated and it's also fixed the missing inverter status (it was showing " - last updated..." Instead of "online - last updated...) at the top.

Home mode wasn't working, but I've set the IP manually and that is fine again now.

Ditto. I am seeing the same and also with the park load view (iOS)

Like TX200 I had to reset the fixed IP address and clear all data to get my Andriod App to work properly again after update.

I suspect the update involved a change in data structures which wasn't properly handled by the update routine. A bit sloppy, really, but not uncommon for mobile apps.

Had to clear the data again just now, as the battery graph was showing data up to 4pm ish today. It isn't 4pm yet. 😂

Checked the date too, defo was showing today's data. Went to yesterday and back to today, but it didn't sort it.

Was initially confused as to why there was a massive usage spike around noon when I'd not used any high power items this lunchtime.

Well at some point during the day it has updated itself to 3.1.20.3137 - goodness knows what happened to 3.1.18 and 3.1.19?

Now it shows battery data but only up until about midday today - I guess when it updated itself. There is no data of any sort: battery, or power graph, since around midday.

It is pretty annoying when a perfectly functioning app is broken by having an update forced on it without it having been properly tested.
Please GivEnergy if it ain't broke don't fix it. But currently it is broke so please fix it PDQ, and then leave it alone. Don't force updates that aren't needed.
Thank you

Even more annoying I've just found that the update has reset some of my settings - specifically the Charge up to had been reset to 50%. (I have it on 80% from cheap night leccy now that there is less solar around)
If an update forces user settings to be changed or reset then it MUST tell the user so she can put them back to her preferred values.
Very poor service.

Looking at the last few comments I'm more convinced than ever that these issues aren't becuase they have introduced bugs when trying to fixing something else. This is sloppy update management where an update routine does not take full account of exsiting data and configuration settings or even corrupts them. A sign of rushing to get fixes out, maybe?

It just gets worse. This morning it has picked up some data to fill in the missing bits from yesterday, but it is also managed to get some future data. Either the clocks have gone forward 3 and a bit hours an the sun is shining (it is heavily overcast and dark outside the window but that could be an illusion) or it has made up data for the future 3 hrs till 11:00.
WTF is going on.
The app is now completely untrustworthy. How am I supposed to know what the state of the battery is or how much I've imported or exported when it is prone to simply telling lies.
Very very bad.
Where can I get an old working version from
Can someone with a non updated version use apkExtract and post it here?

Does anyone from GivEnergy actually read these comments?

rogerco not often, it's not really somewhere they actively go to. Plus, being the weekend they're probably at home. If you need support, raise a ticket through your portal or speak to support today via phone/webchat
