Hi,
Was thinking it would be good to have readonly access to the portal, were settings etc are restricted (especially battery and charge settings etc). For two reasons, one is that I want to share my history with a friend considering a solar install, but also to share with others in my family/household but restrict the ability to change settings.
Is this an option worth considering ?

I can definitely see some use for this with read/write permissions and maybe down the line additional logins to systems, it will be something down the pipeline however but something we will revisit.
I just came across this thread after searching and failing to find an option to add a secondary user account to the portal.
This was prompted by my wife asking to have visibility of the generation data so she can make informed decisions about power use in the house. Note, we have only had the system running for one full day so this level of energy awareness is great!
It would seem that there is not facility to create multiple user accounts so I assume that she will have to use the main account on the app. This is fine but she's not interested in configuration and all the detailed data, just a quick view of current generation an perhaps forecast.
I think a feature providing read only accounts where certain data can be made visible would be a great feature enhancement. I've submitted the request via the feedback route. Hopefully this will be possible in a future release.
Just had a response back from my feature request submission, which I have to say was very rapid.
Thanks for the feedback, what I recommend is that you log in with the main account on your wife's phone and then in the preferences, you can turn off any settings buttons. These are stored locally and will have no effect on your phone. So you can have the settings and your wife can view the data.
He also said that there are plans for notifications in the app which, for example, might suggest that it would be good to use high demand devices due to an excess in generation and so on. Which would be great.
Yorkie71 This works with a wife but we have elderly parents house sitting for 2 weeks whilst we are on holidays and I wouldn't want to log in into their phones because I am worried they might change something by accident. Read only function is still very much needed I'd say.
