Changing Timed Charge Settings

I have had a 9.5kWh battery and 3kW AC inverter for about 6 weeks. This was supplied with a 4G dongle that only worked intermittently due to a poor signal. I had managed to set this up to charge to 100% from 00:30 to 04:29 during one of the brief periods when it was online.

Yesterday I got my WiFi dongle set up and running. The installer needs to do a calibration which will fully discharge the battery so yesterday I changed the timed charge settings to charge to 20% between 00:30 and 04:30. This change was definitely saved as I can see it in the inverter logs. However, last night the battery charged to 100% and the inverter settings have reverted to charging to 100% between 00:30 and 04:29.

I think this must be a bug - has anyone else had this problem and how do you work round it?

Do you have any automation setup? Either at octopus or on a tariff card on the GE portal homepage?

TX200 I had the Octopus Go automation turned on. I've turned it off now so hopefully it won't charge to 100% tonight.

Hi, I have the same issue with battery overiding to 100%. What do you mean by Octopus automation?

I do have an API set up between GE and Octopus but automation ?

I also have myenergy app heating up the water cylinder via Eddi at 4 - 4:30 ? But Octopus API just pulls in meter data I assume ?

mccancew You can set up an automation on the smart tariff card which will set the inverter to charge in the cheap rate period.

I have this problem - set to charge to 90% in the settings, but charging to 100% (but only in the last few days). I had Octopus GO set as the tariff, and looking at the tariff card see that automation was on. I have switched this off and will see what happens. To be fair the system does point out that selecting automation on will over-ride existing settings.

Tried turning automation off but the system still ignores the settings and charges to 100%. I have now deleted the link to the GO Tariff and everything now works properly. I think I would classify this as a bug - it's logical for the automation to override the settings, but not logical to assume that without automation you always the battery to charge to 100%.
