Use the cloud portal most days ( for settings).
The issue with the cloud dashboard is that the objects are to big for my iPad screen.
With the smart tarriff “ object” are hidden behind the taskbar at the bottom of the screen.
If you use one hand to flick and hold the screen up and are quick you can press the submit or go back buttons.
I added my Octopus API code which didn’t have an affect until the lasted releases of the app, which seem to set up automations on the smart tariff “object”. The automation was set to charge 100% on lowest tariff.
Found out after system was charging to 100% over night even though it was set to 72%.
Not sure why an automation would be enable on by default.
Any way - after reading about this on face book went to smart tariff on dash board automation to try an turn it off.
The flick screen method allowed me to disable option but thee was no way I could click the save button as it always remained behind the givenergy taskbar at the bottom of the screen.
So I decided to delete the smart tarriff - hoping it would cure the 100% charge problem.
It ended up leaving this automation homeless and confused.
It seems when I rung GE this morning they reset the automation not to run and now my system is running correctly.
As stated above not sure why the automation was enabled by default and why the screens haven’t been tested on iPads to ensure that users can actual click the buttons on the screen.
Might be time for GE to start developing YouTube tutorials for all the functions and how they work ( extra revenue and less confused end users).
