The “Pause” quick setting on the mobile app doesn’t seem to work. It’s supposed to stop all charge/discharge but the discharge continues.
I’ve never used the setting before so I don’t know if it ever worked to be honest.

Group opinion is that the app battery controls are, ahem, "less than efficient", and that to change anything and actually get it to change, you need to be on the main portal.
wilfleek What setting on the main portal? I don’t see an equivalent setting to “pause”.
My workaround is to increase the % of battery reserve and set a reminder to turn that off later 🙂
Since it’s a piss poor day for generation today, I just wanted to pause discharge until 5pm to cover my peak time without the bother of defining time schedules just for this one-off.

feidhlim piss poor day
hhhhmmm
not poor for me today,
solar pv gave me 20kwh
my battery fully charged from 5 to 100% 8.2 battery
immersion got 10 kwh which took the water temp 300l from 40-55 degree.
is battery worth the extra coin
if i manage to achive a fully charged system between march-oct
and 1/2 charge for nov-feb then it's working well.
to-date the battery has had a saving of the following
1 july - 31 oct 95 kwh of the nasty energy co. @ rates uk 35p per kwh = £33
saving average £2
725 kwh charge is a saving of £253 - system loss £7
What I have noticed the couple of times I have used the "pause" button in the app, is that it simply limits the discharge rate from the battery to about 330W. It doesn't stop it. Very useful, if I plug in my EV and start charging it at full 7kW and don't want the home battery to go flat very quickly.
If I had the ability, I would have set this discharge limit to 30W or lower, but there is no setting for this, that I have seen...
Yep the app to control the battery is flaky and I will not use it now as it is unreliable. I have reported issues but never heard back. Another vote for - Do any changes on the portal.

Inverter - Remote Control - Control - Inverter Max Output Active Power Percent - set to 0%.
Not actually tried this but logic says it should effectively shut down the inverter.
Alternatively, you could disable ECO mode and all the Timed settings, that should work as well.
