I am installing an AC 3.0 with a 5.2 battery in a system with no solar using Octopus Go to charge the battery at night and using the battery to supply power to during the day.
Can I connect the AC 3.0 GRID to an existing consumer unit MCB with the CT clamp on the connection between the grid and the consumer unit? I would also install 2 pole isolator between the AC 3.0 and the consumer unit.
The house loads on the consumer unit would be protected by the existing RCD in the consumer unit and the AC 3.0 has its own RCD to protect itself? Or is it required to install new consumer unit to supply and receive power to/from the AC 3.0? The new consumer unit would be be teed off the grid using Henley blocksc and would include an MCB and RCD?
I assume a 16A type B MCB would be correct to supply the AC 3.0.
Thanks
