Solar, battery, octopus go, ev charge

Hi,
So I‘ve switched to Octopus Go and tried to change my settings so my battery didn’t discharge during the lower rate period and so my car would fill from the grid only. Then, once the lower rate ended, my battery would kick back in.
Instead I seem to have depleted my battery and my solar array is either feeding my domestic use or exporting to the grid, nothing to the battery at all.
I would really appreciate it anyone who has successfully timed the battery sharing the settings they used, please.

ruth_pat Set your battery to Eco/Dynamic mode with a timed charge for the full duration of your Octopus Go off-peak window. Do not enable timed discharge or Octopus automations. Then ensure your car charges with the same start and finish time as the battery.

Thank you for your help and just checking I’ve understood correctly.
On the cloud dashboard I enable both eco and timed charge for the low tariff period.
Will the battery still be charging from solar outside of this battery charge period?
Then in the app do I need to select both solar & grid or can I leave it that I just charge from solar?
And I leave the discharge mode as dynamic?

ruth_pat That's it. You don't need to use the app if you've used the dashboard to configure Eco + Timed charge (aka Solar + Grid in the app).

ruth_pat Solar Charge + Dynamic Discharge in the App is the same as ECO on the web portal. Solar+Grid Charge in the app is the same as ECO and a timed charge in the portal.

You can use the app or portal to set the inverter operating mode but when the app first came out, people found the portal more reliable and a bit easier to understand.
