Wind Turbine

Hi all I need to get some wind power to add to my PV system is there one coming or has anybody got any news ‘ suggestions pro and or cons of wind turbines? (Uk based)

Historically they have been expensive but there are some deals around now it seems.

One of the biggest issues has been noise either directly caused by the turbine or indirectly through the mounting system.

Also it seems that you WILL REQUIRE planning permission if you have an Air Source Heat Pump already installed (the reverse also applies you will need planning permission to install an ASHP if you have a Wind Turbine). The only reason I can think of is to do with noise pollution.......

Typically wind generation around houses can be problematic due to turbulence - ie you tend to get less production - but it all depends on individual circumstances.

Pay very close attention to the G98/G99 DNO application process requirements.
