How to set battery charging modes

Hi, is it possible to set both Eco mode and a Timed Charge mode together? I havr tried thsi and the battery isn't charging at all now? The instructions are very sketchy about selecting multiple mode settings. Thanks.

Yes. Anyone with a Time of use tariff usually does this.

Use the web portal. Reset the battery to default, then set Eco mode followed by the Timed Charge

Yes. Most of us do this and is often quoted as the prefered place to start.

When you say the battery isn't charging is this from grid or PV or both? The battery won't charge from PV unless there is excess PV over load. If you have timed charge set this will only charge from grid during the period you specify. Outside of this period ECO will charge from PV if there is excess over load.

Note that the abov presupposes you have not set any tariff automations which will override everyting.

Thanks, no I've no tarriff automations set as this option states 'coming soon' in UK app. The battery isn't charging from the grid at the time period set overnight when I get Economy 7 cheaper power. No solar as yet this morning as heavy cloud.
