New App and Multiple Batteries

The updated App today (I'm on Android) seems to be heading in the right direction, but as usual there are a few steps forwards and then there are some steps back.

I like the new ability to see details for multiple batteries, which seems to work reasonably well in the 'Away' view. However, the same cannot be said of the Home view. Specifically, it shows me either one battery, or two batteries or three batteries (I actually have just two!).

Other initial observations:

Connecting to Home with the 10 second updates appears to be much better than before.
Rendering of some of the graphics is forcing other stuff out of the visible screen - particularly in landscape.
In portrait I cannot see the Voltage value as it is being squeezed out (I can just see the top row of pixels).
I am still getting the Play button randomly appearing, even though I have not selected it in Preferences.
The animated battery symbol on the home page works well in the Dark Theme, but is almost invisible in the Light Theme.
The 'Show Multiple Batteries' option in Preference does not appear if you are Home mode. You have to go Away, then activate the setting, then go Home again.

I have multiple batteries but my app just shows a battery? Do you have multiple inverters with a battyer on each?

Yes, we have two AC3.0 inverters, each with an 8.2 battery.

Given that the setting in Preferences is ''Show Multiple Batteries', I would have expected it to apply to batteries, and not inverters. Oh wait, this is GE we are dealing with, isn't it....

To put the flippant comments aside, do you even see the option in preferences (make sure you are connected to Away first)?

I’ve noted sometimes that the %shown on the multiple batteries reverse with the graphics and alternate randomly. Also it will pick up both batteries then suddenly drop one before picking it up again after a few refreshes.

Definitely heading in the right direction but still a few issues.

One issue is when I try putting the inverter manual address in, sometimes it finds them ok, and then others it just gives a red exclamation mark…

I agree that the new feature has some issues. The other thing that I have noticed is that when two batteries are displayed, and you press on their icons, the discharge rate shown is the same for both PLUS it bears no resemblance to the figures shown on the live display.
This is no surprise as most of the figures shown make no sense at all.
Pressing the battery icon on the main live display shows the energy in and out for the day. The value IN is for just one Inverter. The figure for the amount of energy consumed by the home is on my system skewed by the charge put in overnight to the second inverted/battery system.
It would be nice to know if anything is being done to address all these issues. I would be willing to field test releases but GE don't seem to want people to test their software. Some of us have a wealth of experience in Software Development and testing

StephenDavies some of this I think is due to the multiple inverters of you have them. I be been told that the EMS (if it every appears and it’s not just a figment if GE imagination) will fix some of this..

ToothyChris I do not have that option in my preferences. But I expected this. If the SOC issue is fixed, the new EMS arrives then I will be adding a second AC3 to finish my system.
