I have relatively recently installed a GivEnergy 8.2kWh battery and AC 3.0 inverter, I already have a solar panel system. In response to power management requests from my electricity supplier, Octopus Energy, I am trying to set up the inverter, via the dashboard in advance to discharge to meet the home demand only during the time of the power management (typically 1 hour). I don't want to discharge the battery in Economy Mode outside of this specific time as I want to preserve the energy in the battery as I am getting limited top up from the solar panels at this time of year. So if I set Timed Discharge to "on" it sets the Econ Mode to "on" (which I don't want) and then when I turn Econ Mode "off" it sets Timed Discharge to "off" and Timed Export to "on" when it was off previously! Turning Timed Export "off" and refreshing the page (which I also did after every change above) appears to leave Econ Mode "off" but actually when you enquire of the value of setting 24 (Econ Mode) in the API it says "true" meaning it's on not off! I hope you are following this!! It appears that enquiring of the API that there are no specific settings for Timed Export? Is it that Timed Export is just the off condition of Econ Mode? I also note that the time settings for both the Timed Discharge and Timed Export are the same, changing one changes the other. Enquiring of the API seems to confirm they are the same. I may have something wrong and I what I am saying is incorrect? Can anyone else reproduce this? If a genuine problem has anyone found a way around this issue? Is this something which GivEnergy need to address? Thanks in advance for any help with this.
