I had a Givenergy battery installed a few days ago (9.5 battery and 3kw AC Coupler) Since then I have noticed that often the myenergi Zappi app on my iphone is showing blank details. The icons are all there but no information is showing.

However the Zappi charger itself is still working fine and the display on the Zappi appears to be working fine too. The Zappi is fed power directly by a dedicated power cable from the meter box to the Zappi and the battery install has not altered this.

From time to time the Zappi app does appear to work properly but that appears to be only when the battery alone is unable to power the house and I am also drawing power from the mains.

Is this normal? If not any idea what part of the Battery installation might be causing this and how might it be recitified?

QPRfan This is not normal, but I recently had this after adding a second harvi for monitoring. Oddly after 2 weeks of emails to myenergi my app now seems fine...... They wanted me to change wifi band on my harvi's at one point stating interferance saying my Alexa causes interfereance. But press myenergi support.

did you change the band on Harvi?

I have just installed an Eddi and Harvi #9 (disappointed in fact) and since then I have noticed a lot more spurious exports to the grid that are confirmed by my smart meter, often 20 to 30 watts. I have had my system a few months and this is new since eddi, of course i always got those minor import /exports as the inverter reacted but not with such frequency (time not khz)!
I didnt have to disturb the existing ct clamps or inverter meter so am assuming a coincidence.

QPRfan , can you please confirm if you have a MyEnergi Harvi installed, and it is this that has the grid monitoring CT wired to it?

With the GE inverter and battery doing exactly what they should do, which is to maintain the grid import/export at zero whenever it can, then there will be no grid current to energise the Harvi, so no grid data being reported back to the cloud and app.

My grid CT is directly wired to the Zappi, so is monitoring all the time regardless of the level of grid import/export.

the harvi is energised by any of the 3 ct clamps. you would have a clamp on the battery to CU (consumer unit) so it would work.
I also suspect that the grid ct would be reported via zappi . if i read correctly.
