GE Smart Plug - no current when turned on?

Hello - my smart plug was working fine (using Alexa scheduler) until last week.
I deleted the plug from the GE app and reconnected it so I could set up a schedule via the new functionality. I also deleted the plug from the Alexa app at the same time.
However, whilst the scheduling functionality works (the blue power light comes on and off when it should) the plug is not letting any current through.
I’m a bit stuck; there’s no evidence of damage / burnout and the max amperage hasn’t been exceeded. Any ideas would be welcome - thanks!

SKEXIS I get the same. Same old, same old, GE flaky beta software we are given to sort out for them.

Ah - I thought it might be failed hardware, but it was kind of coincidental that the failure started to happen at the same time that the new scheduling piece was put in the app!

So I guess it's a wait and see what happens scenario, then?
