We are currently filling and emptying our batteries twice a day to make the most of time shifting/variable tariffs. I know the battery records how many times it has been cycled - does this frequency reduce the battery life?

Thanks

Some of the batteries have unlimited cycles as part of the guarantee.

Zakalwe These are 5.2s

The 5.2 warranty allows for 52mWh throughput over 10 years.

Personally, I wouldn't fret or overthink too much about this stuff. Let it do it's thing and get on with more important stuff in life.

There's no point buying the battery if you don't intend to use it. But, yes, using the batteries definitely reduces their life.

Very good advice!
