I have the GivEnergy AC inverter and 8.2 KWH battery. I have changed tariff from Octopus Go to Intelligent Octopus and have changed the Inverter settings to match the IO time schedule 23.30 - 05.30 using the app but each night at about 00.10 the schedule reverts to the Go schedule of 00.30 - 04.30. Has anyone observed this and what if anything am I doing wrong. I have had to make the changes twice now.

Have you got a tariff card setup on the home page of the GE web portal?
If so, it might need deleting and re-adding with the new tariff (and tariff automation off if you want finer control - as I think the tariff automation always charges to 100%)
If it's not that, did you setup any automation on the octopus side, e.g. giving them API access to the Givenergy system?
Or any other automation setup? GivTCP, portal API or HomeAssistant etc?

Try changing it on the web portal, rather than the App. For some people the App has a reputation of not changing the settings correctly.
Usual suggestion is to use the web portal to reset it to "Default" settings, then check Eco is on and then set up the "Timed Charge" period required. Confirm and wait for the greenish message that confirms it has done it.
I may be wrong but I don't think the portal handles a timing over 24:00rs and it may be that the 23:30 to 05:30 is not actually being accepted.
Try setting the time period in 'Timed Charge' to 00:05 to 05:30 and make sure that only 'ECO' & 'Timed Charge' are enabled.

We are on Intelligent Octopus and the fixed times of 23:30 -05:30 for charging the home battery work fine.
The same here, no problem with setting the Portal using IO times.
However, are you using GivTCP? If so, be aware that this will supersede some portal/app instructions.
I’ve been having issues with the inverter charging schedule resetting overnight. My problem is I’ve set the batteries to charge to 70% via the web portal but overnight this resets to 100%. Today it’s not a problem as it’s grey and miserable but on Friday when it was sunny the batteries were charged fully early in the day so power was discharged to the grid
Woodlands Thanks. I will try that after I observe what happens tonight. I was advised to set Automations to off which I have done and hit the submit button. I did this but did notice the Automations was set to 'none' on the tariff page. The tariff setting is set to Intelligent variable which is the setting for Intelligent Octopus set after the successful test charge. Did you set your schedule up via the portal first. snf has it remained stable?
Regards
Doug
Zakalwe Just tried what I thought to be the 'bog standard' process via the app. No messing with GivTCP etc. as I replied to Woodlands I will have a go with reset to defaults and resubmit the settings if tonight's attempt does not work.

We have no automations set. Just "Eco" mode & "Timed Charge" set to 23:30 - 05:30. Both set using the web portal.
Don't use the App for changing any settings.
Before being on Intelligent we were on Go Faster, with fixed times for charging the battery. So just changed the times when we switched to Intelligent.
Has always been stable and reliably charges each night to the % level set (100% at the moment, lower during the summer).
I used to be able to set the percentage I would like to charge up to on the app but now I can’t find that option, has it been moved?
richardson1003 If your setting is Solar, change it to solar + grid to set the charge to %
I agree. Same for me changing from Go to IO
