I use ECO and timed charged. That's perfect for me.
I don't see much exported to the grid, but with AC there will always be a bit as it has to react to household usage and adjust its output accordingly. It's also only allowed to ramp up or down to a set specification, in order to avoid damaging the grid.
Timed export is for exporting to the grid at the maximum discharge rate as set in the portal. Eco and timed discharge should only met household demand, not pump out at full discharge rates.
Timed discharge and timed export are best used with automation like home assistant, as if you want to capture the sun, into the battery, eco mode needs to be on. Automation allows you to change the modes and more importantly change them back when done.
