Hi from a Newbie

Looking for recommendations for a company to supply and install 2 x 8.2 kWh batteries and 2 x 3kW AC coupled inverters in a domestic property. Have existing 4kW PV installation. Then looking for moving to Octopus Go or similar dual rate tariff, but currently don't have and EV, so not sure if they will accept a new account. We're currently with SSE, who are absolute rubbish :-(

Any recommendations for installers and Electricity providers (both gas and electric)

Jeggers I can not comment on local installers, but I used EON and the whole process was pretty good. Prices were on par with my local installers, £200 difference for a 4.62kw solar system 1x AC3 1x 8.2kwh batt. You do get 10 year warranty on the AC's going via EON too plus being a massive company they are not going to vanish like smaller installers might.

Quick update on my progress with this. I got some competitive quotes in and opted to order from a local independent installer who specialise in solar panels but also do general electrical work. Placed an order with them in early February and am still waiting on a delivery date for the batteries. I chased this up a number of times with both their wholesaler (Midsummer Energy) and Givenergy directly. Never really got a straight answer from anyone, although Givenergy indicated that all orders for 8.2 kWh batteries would be fulfilled by mid June, so hopefully not too long to wait now....
