System disregarding Battery charge limits.

I’m new to this Solar/Battery storage world. My system was installed last week and seems to be working fine even tho we have rarely been in temps above zero, I will rephrase that we have not been in temps above zero this past week and snowing on a number of days so solar generation is to say the least minimal.
We have a 10 x 385w panels on a east / west set up with Gen2 3.6 hybrid inverter on a 9.5kwh battery with manual EPS switching, Wallbox Pulsar Plus EV Charger with Additional Powerboost / Ecosmart meter fitted for green energy EV charging.
My system is linked into the Octopus Go timings on the inverter. All seems to have been well until last night, our first night away so I went into the Inverter settings and set the battery to only charge to 65%. I knew the battery was going to be slightly below this by the time the charge time started so I expected very minimal charge to happen in the charge period. I did this as I knew the house wouldn’t use that amount of energy today.
Looked at system today to find the system has ignored the 65% charge setting and charged the battery to 100%🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️. Before anyone says the obvious, yes the new setting was saved on the system. Is this unusual for the system to ignore a charge setting? ( system is installed inside so temp is not an issue)

Make sure that you havent any tariff automations set as this will take precedent.
Are you using the portal or the app? Also, are you using GivTCP?

I do have Tariff automations set as well as myself setting time period on the inverter. As far as can see the Octopus Go Tariff setting is on the charge period not the amount of charge on the battery.
The settings for the percentage of battery charge seems to be down to my settings in the inverter.
I am using the portal. If I knew what GivTCP was I would tell you🤷🏻‍♂️.

The Octopus Go automation only does a 100% charge. Just turn it off and use a timed charge instead.

Brian-S I do have Tariff automations set as well as myself setting time period on the inverter.

As @judgepd says, the tariff automation will over-ride the manual settings in My Inverter and charge it to 100%. Timed Charge is the way to go for tariffs like Octopus Go.

I have a similar issue. Automations are off, and I have set the battery to charge to 96%. If mostly does this... but sometimes it will overshoot and hit 100% and stay there until the charge window ends, and then behaves normally.
Is this just because its not very accurate at predicting how it will charge, based on temperature?
