Not a personal judgement.

The inverter status in the Portal, i.e. Active (Green) versus Idle (Yellow). When is yours idle?

Mine's idle a lot. Even when there's loads of battery and house demand.

Some background:

  • Gen1.5 inverter
  • Default settings, +Eco +Timed Charge (which never works, because it's always Idle overnight and never wakes up)

Things I'm logging into Home Assistant and are totally fine i.e. consistently varying readings within normal bounds:

  • LoRa and CT
  • Inverter measurements of Grid and Inverter voltages
  • Inverter measurements of house load (compared against Glow IHD)
  • Battery voltages and temps

This is in my ongoing saga to solve the "failure to charge" issue, and my recent realisation that excessive idleness is playing a part... Symptom or cause?

My inverter is never IDLE. It is usually NORMAL, although from 23:48 - 00:30 it was WAITING (light flashing green, not yellow) because the battery reached 4%.

Personally I am often IDLE 🙂

I’ve only really noticed mine idle when the batteries are empty (4%), but have never had this idleness result in not charging at the designated time at night, all running with the same settings as you.

Posting my "raw" output from GivTCP in case anyone can spot anything. Things I don't like: "p_grid_apparent" is totally different from "p_grid_out" - is this normal? Also, just today, the firmware version has gone screwry.
