Battery charging from Solar - delta used?

Apologies if the answer is in the Knowledge Base - I did look but couldn't find it. With a solar system generating power, what delta does the AC inverter use on Grid export to trigger battery charging - i.e at 200W export it starts to charge the battery.

Reason for asking is making sure that my hotwater iBoost is set to a higher value so that Battery charging is prioritised. I had a case recently where the iBoost kicked in, the inverter saw this as demand and started to provide battery power (oops). I've since changed the iBoost setting to a high delta value to stop this, but wondering what the best value is.

Apologies, can't answer your question, but I would like to know how you change the delta on the iBoost?

wilfleek press and hold the A button for about 5 seconds - and the display will go into edit mode. Then press A to cycle through the settings - first is date/time, next is the delta it uses, followed by timed boost programmes. (use B button to change the values). You have to cycle through all to reach end and exit.

I believe it's around 20W on the AC coupled model.

So a 100W delta setting on the iBoost should work fine if I understand things correctly? That appears to be the setting on mine.

wilfleek it should be OK -if the AC inverter delta is 20W - I'm a little surprised tbh - I thought it'd would be more than that

WIth every bit of recent solar generation going to either the house load or into the battery, (i.e. no significant export to the grid) when I checked the iBoost today looking for the delta setting, it showed zero input for some time, so I guess the system is working as it should.

changed mine to 200w as the water keeps discharging the batteries as soon as there's the smallest export - see how it goes

I have mine set at 250W.
