This moring my batteries completely died and my invewrter seemd to be playing up.
So I restarted the inverter.
Now my batteries are charging from the grid and I cannot stop it. I can halt them using the quick (Pause) buttons in the app but as soon as I put them back into normal mode (Resume) the charging from the grid starts again.
My thoughts are that the system is doing a full recalibration of the batteries to 100%.
Am I correct or is there something else?
If your battery is below 4% then it could be the safety charge kicking in.
If higher than that it could be an unrequested calibration taking place (I have seen reports of these happening). Possibly report it to GE on the FB page, or via chat, to see if one of the GE guys on there can check from their end.
May also be worth checking the logs, to see if there are any error messages.
So I contacted GE via their chat box.
It seemed my system had gone into a forced charge calibration, even though my portal didn't show that.
I was told a calibaration like this normally happens after a firmware update so he is going to look into why this happened. Neither my firmware or software have changed.
Apparantly we can't see if the system is doing a calibration as this area of the config is not open to us. (it was previously but "we" caused too many problems so they took it away!!)
I did say even a notification of this happening would be nice.
Anyway all sorted now.
