Commisioning

I've had an additional battery installed to our system, the installer really struggled with the comissioning process, batteries needed firmware updates and all sorts of issues. Eventually he said he couldn'd do any more now because it was dark and the comissioning process would finish tomorrow. That was 36 hours ago and I haven't had a message saying comissioning has finished and all of the settings appear wrong now and it's not picking up any grid import or the proper load coming from the house which I know to be around 700w from my smart meter. Any ideas other than not paying for the install untill they come out and fix it?

There are a few things you could look at

See if there is a update for the batteries

Restart the system

Have you checked the givenrgy cloud whats that saying ?

I've had a second inverter +9.5kWh battery installed. The portal says that calibration has started - but nothing since. It's sitting there NOT in eco mode. It now has one EM115 for the solar and one for the main power. No solar for the first day - then found that the solar CT clamp was the wrong way around i.e. the EM115 was showing negative power.
So should the 'new' inverter be in eco mode? Can the App show both inverters - or is that one of the reasons Givenergy advise against multiple inverters. It also looks like the installers don't understand what a 'twisted pair' is or what a differential transmission line is all about - they used two pairs instead of one pair.

Slartibartfast the app does not show separate inverters although it does show separate batteries for each inverter. If you’re trying to work out what’s going on, you might do better to use the web portal which does show the inverters separately and enables better granularity of control and performance data

lifco I did the battery update with the engineer (although he wasn't sure what files needed to be put on the memory stick).
I've restarted the system a couple of times but I've just been out to the box outside and found that the master breaker had tripped so I have reset that and now the GivEnergy app can see what's going on in the house, not really a surprise. It is also allowing me to force charge the battery now so hopefully once that is done the commissioning process will complete and the system will send me the message it's been promising me.

Slartibartfast GivEnergy have a new box coming, an EMS to fix multiple inverter issues. My installer will not add a second AC3 for my until that box is available! I have been told the EMS is targetted for Q2 release

THALL which year? 🤣

All this talk of 'which year'. Can we all be sensible and use Lunar years. Far more precise.

TX200 Ya know what, they didn't actually say! Hopefully 2023 ;-)
