Charging Battery

How do I get the givenergy system to charge the battery in preference to sending to the grid??

I have a similar query, had a 3.6kW hybrid inverter installed yesterday with 9.5kW battery, and I noticed today I was generating quite a lot of excess this afternoon (sunny) to the grid with no battery charging which can be seen on the graph! Tried to add a screenshot of the graph, but could figure out how to do that either.

Has the battery done it's first calibration cycle (completely empty then completely charge?) - if not, ask your installer why not (or web chat Giv Energy when the open on Monday - webchat box should appear on their contact us page).

Other than that, try resetting to defaults via the web portal then turn on eco. Turn on timed charge too if you have a cheap overnight tariff.

There's plenty of threads in here re similar issues, so it may be best to do a search and have a read on how all this works.
