Adding an AC Coupled inverter to existing installation

Is it possible to add an AC Coupled inverter and battery to an existing Gen 1 Hybrid 5 installation? Do the inverters play nicely together?

Zakalwe Don't know the answer but since neither know anything of the other, I'd expect the HY5 to continue to do what it does to minimise grid import/export in ECO mode and for the AC3 to take appropriate action when it sees grid import/export. As long as the AC3 has a response time and ramp similar to the HY5, I'd expect them to be OK.

I guess the only issue would be that if you wanted to do a timed charge, you'd have to set the same period on both, otherwise the HY5 battery would charge the AC3 battery. If you didn't want a timed charge on the HY5, you could just reduce the battery discharge power to zero for the period.

I'd also expect Givenergy's official line to be that they don't support multiple inverter scenarios until the EMS comes out.

I am wondering if each inverter would need to be managed separate? separate accounts? I want a "plant" but can't just yet but if you have a plant can you control each inverter separate?

THALL our web portal (incorrectly) summarises the data for our two HY5s and there are two inverter cards that provide full user access to each inverter. The portal provides a single login to both inverters. The app does a better job of summarising the data and the battery SoCs are displayed separately but you can’t control the inverters or see the data separately.
