Sorry if this has already been addressed before, I did search the forum but couldn't find the right information.

I have recently had 2* 9.5kwh GE batteries installed, and really enjoying them. My question is; I frequently get a smart schedule from Intelligent Octopus for the charging of my EV (through Ohme Home Pro) outside of off-peak times. Is there a way of automating the batteries to charge during this period? We had 2 hours of off-peak from 19:30 - 21:30 last night, and charged up the batteries... I'm looking for a better way than just clicking 'force charge'

Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks

Andy

infamous84 Can you not just set it to the default 2330 til 0530 cheap period?

I just got invited to Intelligent but can't get the app downloaded on android ☹️

THALL Yes, it does charge as default at those times... but if you plug an EV car in for a scheduled charge, you occasionally get offered additional hours to charge up the car (outside off-peak). This would be very helpful, as my batteries normal drain by late afternoon, and a top up would no doubt help get through to the next 23:30 window.

infamous84 Oh I see! I think this was posted in another thread, but I don't think GE has an automation on this yet.

infamous84 yep. You're into automation territory for that... Home Assistant and GivTCP or similar routes. Or Powershell to the web API.

Have a search through the threads re automation and Google speak to the geek (YouTube) for some walk throughs of Home Assistant.
