Battery does not charge in Eco mode

I've had my system a couple of months now and have been monitoring the app to get the hang of it.
At first, the battery never seemed to charge even though the Eco setting says it would.
So I changed the battery settings, to charge to 50% during the cheap energy hours.

This worked out ok, but I have noticed that even when the pv panels are working well, and the combined battery and pv generation exceeds the demand, no pv power ever appears to be directed back to the battery.
This happens every day.

is there something wrong with my settings, or with the system?

On the dashboard, inverter card, settings, could you confirm that only ECO is on and timed charged is on and times are set. Everything else should be off.

meefoo In battery settings the reserver is right down and the charger slider is up?

reserve is down to 4%
charge and discharge power settings are right up to 2600W

meefoo Ok can try the reset to defaults button. This will leave only ECO on and will take a moment or 2 to sort itself out. If it still does not charge from solar a call to support might be needed.

I did the reset yesterday- so far no difference

I had an issue a couple of days after the install, where the CT Clamp clip had come undone.
This caused a spurious issue with charging/discharging, not like your issue, however it might be worth checking your CT Clamp.

Does the charge to 50% also affect the solar charge. It shouldn't (I'd assume, as it's in the timed charge section) but wondering if there could be a bug?

I think maximum charge rate does affect it? Hopefully that's set to something suitable?

TX200 It may have done. Support was not very clear about it all, but they did return the setting to 100% when they looked at my system.
There then was indeed a flow from the pv panels to the battery, but also a rather obscure explanation that: "The excess PV required to kickstart the battery to charge from solar is 150W"
