Hi I’ve recently changed our Wi-Fi home hub. But the inverter dongle does not seem to be picking up any Wi-Fi connection signal. Can you talk me through the procedure? I haven’t been able to find anything in the manual. System has been working well for 2 years. Pv panels and battery.

The easiest way to do this is to set up a wifi ssid on your new router which has the same details as the old router. The dongle should then connect as if nothing had happend.

Most routers will allow you to set up an additional Wifi SSID which you could use just for the dongle.

Both the SSID and the password (key) need to match the old one.

Did you get this working? It's not that hard to connect to the dongle SSID that is broadcast from the inverter and alter the configuration there.

But hub 2 does not have capacity 😞. It may not be hard. To connect the dongle but when you have no idea the steps it’s impossible 😩. If sa12uk you can give some instructions that would be helpful 👍

Do a Google search for givenergy kB dongle
You'll find a pdf with all the steps in it.

Juliebryce If this is a BT Smart Hub 2 it has plenty of capacity and you can change the default wifi to match your old one. This hub can be managed (usually) at ip address http://192.168.1.254. Click on advanced settings and use the admin user and password on the security card that came with the hub.
