We had a system installed this week, and I notice regular transmissions from both the solar panels directly and also from the battery to the grid, despite the battery not being fully charged. We don't yet have a tariff in place to sell back to the grid so wondered if there is a way to stop the transfer to the grid?
marktracy how much was going into the grid? There will be a tiny bit due to how the system has to balance to the grid. But once the battery is full it will export, it has to go somewhere.
But payments for export are tiny and this time of year I wouldn't worry about a bit of export. If it was the Summer however..... 😁
It was just a few watts every now and again, so no big deal, but there must be a way of switching it off so all solar power goes to either the battery or straight into home use. The battery was not and is not full.
marktracy Go to the web portal - Inverter Card - Settings. Check that the inverter ECO mode is enabled. If not move the slider over and then press submit. I called over to a neighbour yesterday whose system was installed this week and they had the same issue. Battery at 4% having been calibrated but the installer hadn't set it to ECO mode before leaving!
