Does anyone else have missing data for yesterday on their Energy Graph?

Damien Mine is fine.

Yeah basically missing. Says 0.1 kWh of usage.
If only my electricity bill provider honoured that 😃

Damien Mine is showing true figures.

Mine is missing but does show in the old (original platform) in the graph.

Hi all,

This is an issue that is caused by the time/date on your inverter being slightly out of sync with the server time. The inverter resets the daily meter values at midnight each day according to its local time. You can confirm this by checking the 'meter data' section of the inverter card on the beta portal; you'll see that the daily meter totals read correctly until the last data point before midnight, at which point they reset. The energy flows data is calculated from this day's final meter reading (which will show 0 as it reset early) meaning that the energy flows all read as 0.

We'll be adding some additional logic into the comms platform to keep the daily values from resetting to 0 too early (essentially by using the value from the previous data point), however if the inverter time is out of sync by more than the interval between 2 data points (5 minutes).

We will also be adding in some logic in the future to automatically correct any date/time desyncing as it occurs, however for now unfortunately this has to be a maual process.

Sam D (GivEnergy) Thanks for the explanation, Sam.

When you say "this has to be a manual process" -- is that something I need to do?

I've had this again for yesterday. So Jan 12 and Jan 14 are missing most of their data. This has never happened.
Does the inverter not use NTP or equivalent to keep itself on the correct time? I don't see any user settings to correct or set the time.
The Meter Data only holds 130 rows which doesn't seem to be more than 10 hours so I can't confirm.

Sam D (GivEnergy) Hello Sam, I'm a relatively new GivEnergy user and still getting to grips with the system. My original inverter was faulty and replaced earlier this month. However, I am experiencing persistent data loss around midnight and data doesn't reappear until the end of my timed charge, around 5am. I've tried resetting the inverter settings and synchronising the internet time but to no avail.

Do you have any advice. I've read much of the chain of messages which implicate internet settings but I'm not sure what the system actually requires in that regard.

Thanks in advance

My Power Graph icon shows an errors "WHOOPS" since yesterday on the portal on all my laptops. App is fine.

trying to go to the LEGACY Dashboards throws out "Server Error".
@Sam D (GivEnergy) What is going on at GE?

Mine lost data from 18:30 onwards yesterday. Seems ok this morning for todays data.
Don't know if it is related but app got updated yesterday - all the export settings got a new UI and my initial feeling is it seems very flaky. Couldn't disabled timed discharge no matter what I did, when I sent changes it claimed the inverter was offline (it wasn't). Ended up going on to givenergy.cloud and saw that the system was in the state I asked for just the app wasn't showing it! Hmm, generally it just works and does what I want so hope this is just a glitch.

One other comment is that the givenergy.cloud seems generally up to date with respect to how much power my system has produced but the app is very often 3 or 4 hours behind. Then all of a sudden it will catch up and stay in synch for a few hours and then stop again. No idea why.

Anyone else missing data for yesterday on the app and web portal? The power graphs are working for yesterday, but not the energy graph.
