Anyone using Octopus R&D? I have set up some schedules
Overnight
9 slots between 0000 and 0700 - Easy to set up
Daytime 0800-1600 top up if price is below 24p for a slot
Evening 1900-0000 topup if 24p slot found.
However It wont go past 2300 on the time. So for example tonight the 2330 slot is 20p so could grab this bit of charge, but i cant configure this, as the schedule says 2300 is the max time
Anyone else have ideas?
You also can't set anything to start on one day and finish the next day ie an overnight schedule.
I think this is because Octopus R&D makes its decisions for the following day at the time the prices are released, rather than the time the schedule starts. As such it doesn't have information about prices between 2300 and 2400 when it makes its decisions.
Hopefully, this is something Octopus address as it develops (but does look like some fairly major changes to how it works are needed)
No worries, I will continue to have a single HA Automation setup looking at that time slot, if it goes below 24p, grab it and issue a 30 min charge
TheDragon (GivEnergy) I really want some advanced logic like if its below 24p and its 10% below the average for the next 3 hours top up...
But I can't be bothered to do it to save me the fractions of pennies...

naltsta Seen cheap from 2300 to 0000.
2300 one will be captured by my normal evening logic, the 2330 one Ive set a 30 min charge schedule
Then 0000 onwards automation takes over again
