BackUp Overload Fault

My battery unexpectedly started charging from the grid last night and is now at 100%.

My house is now pulling from the grid and the battery is not discharging.

When I noticed the battery was charging I used the app to pause it which did stop the charge. I wondered if this was a self conditioning thing so I "resumed" the battery using the app and let it charge to 100%.

I didn't change any settings so not sure what's happening here?

I checked the inverter notifications and saw there was a "BackUp Overload Fault".

I've also tried the "Reset to default" options in the inverter settings.

Can anyone help please? Thanks.

I called GivEnergy on 01377 252874 and spoke to Matt who quickly resolved the issue. Apparently there is a Set full capacity engineers setting which isn't available to end users. This was set to be on. Matt changed that and now everything appears to be working normally. Strange... but kudos to GivEnergy support for sorting it out so quickly.

cmanifold It'd be nice if the portal displayed the current setting of Givenergy/Engineer-only settings. I get that they don't want to compromise the warranty by letting end-users loose with all their controls, but if something has been changed, it would be helpful for end-users to be able to see that on the portal, and also to be able to see the remote control operations carried out by engineers and administrators in the remote control log.

Tim Agreed. It'd also be nice to know what suddenly caused that engineer setting to change.
