How does this work when exporting as opposed to non exporting?

When not exporting I don’t need any reserve but when exporting I need about 50%.
So how can I achieve this without resetting every day after exporting?

DDunn The reserve stops the battery discharging for any reason below the threshold set. It matters not whether your exporting or not. If you also have eco set it will charge from solar above 50% but not from the grid. Once abov 50% the inverter will discharge the battery to meet load demand if solar is insufficient to do so.

A common reason for setting a reserve is if you want to ensure you have enough battery to meet a late peak demand on a poor solar day or for those with EPS to ensure they have power for a power cut and be able use the devices attached to the eps circuit.

A less common reason is to control export from battery for those with good export rates or on Octopus Agile where they would manage when export from the battery takes place to maximise their export rates.

Thank you, yes it is for export and using octopus agile that I need to have differing settings, any chance of splitting so as to have different reserves for home or export ?

The only way you can get more granularity wthout manually taking things all the time is with automation using something like Home Assistant and givTCP or one of the python programmes mentioned here and there on these forums.
