Hi, The New Octopus Cosy tarrif had a double dip for cheaper electric, but Givenergy only allows for one time slot to be automated. This leads to the time slots being set manually each day - which leads to mistakes. Is it not possible to have two time slots automated for the Cosy tarriff?
Two time slots needed for battery charging
Bathali not currently unless you want to set up some kind of automation like Home Assistant, Phyton, GivTCP etc
Have a search of these forums for similar topics about cosy and intelligent octopus. 😀

GivEnergy are aware, 2 slots is in the pipeline. as is full automation, like Octopus R&D using the GivEnergy API
Thanks. Look forward to two or more time slots.

TheDragon (GivEnergy) Morning - can you tell us when the additional slot(s) feature might be released please?

gwynnej3 We fully support this now for Gen1 & 2 inverters: https://www.wonderwatt.com/multiple-schedules-smart-charging-with-growatt-and-givenergy/
gwynnej3 I am pretty sure that I've heard TheDragon (GivEnergy) say that there isn't enough memory on the gen 1 inverters to support two charge slots, only on the later inverters.
I know its in place on the portal for gen 3 and AIO's, and (?) coming soon for Gen 2.
If there is limited memory on the gen 1, it would seem to me that more people would want 2 charge slots than 2 discharge slots that there is currently available on the gen 1, but whether it is even possible to change this I don't know.
So if you have a gen 1 inverter you may need to look at a 3rd party system still like WonderWatt, Octopus R&D or Home Assistant.
How do I tell if my inverter is 1 or 2?
It can now be done with an Android app.
