Wonder if anyone can help.
Our Internet has been temperamental for the past week, so we have only had signal in part of the house, and likely not to the area where the givEnergy dongle is as we haven't been able to get any readings at all.

The WiFi has now been sorted, but we are still getting the message : "Local search failed, no home connections found" and unable to see any data at all on the app.

Can anyone help please ?

Thank you in advance

Wayland I have the same problem right now. Our wifi isn’t temperamental, everything else is working fine. Possibly a problem at the GivEnergy end?

Mine has now been down for 19hours, the wifi hasn't connected for over a week and now it's just pulled 3kw for 10mins so I assume the BMS has failed yet again but I can't see what it's doing. We'll be drawing from the grid at peak rates for the rest of the day.

MikeC217 A problem at GE shouldn't affect the local connection. How was your wifi sorted? Did it involve changing the router or any wifi settings on it?

No it was just the extender discs we have throughout the house that needed reconnecting. This meant there was no signal reaching the dongal, but no settings changed.

I have had no Local or Away connection all afternoon. No idea what’s going on or how to get it to reconnect. The wifi is working fine in the house and the dongle on the inverter has all three lights on: pwr, com and net. Any advice please?

Looking at the website data it says the inverter has been offline since 1040 this morning (it’s now 1720) but all the lights are on outside and there are no error messages. Clearly some kind of connection fault but I have no idea what to do.

MikeC217 has the dongle connected to the bottom of the inverter any lights on it? There should be a solid blue light on it which means it has a WiFi connection to the internet.
If not or flashing it means it hasn’t got a connection.

If you have a phone or tablet/iPad with WiFi ability you should be able to see the dongles WiFi access point. It should start with a HA or something similar with a few letters/numbers. Connect to it.

Your installer should have given you the password - if not try user name admin and password admin

If that doesn’t work you may need to reset the dongle - I think there is a button you can press to reset to defaults.

There is a guide for how to do it somewhere on the givenergy site - other posts on here do provide a direct link.
