Does the Givenery App override settings on the portal?

Hi folks, sorry just had system installed a week ago. All has been working well, however I keep noticing that the set charge/discharge times are being edited without my input, I'm making the assumption that this is occuring because the mobile app is making adjustments to the inverter (as part of it's "automation settings") and that then starts to play around with the charge/discharge settings. Has anyone else noticed this?
I think I've played around with it too much and it's feels like I've got scripts running unintendedly, what's the best way to start from scratch? I'd like to just have eco mode set at the inverter to see how that works on it's own and then start playing from there. At the moment, as I keep getting random writes to the inverter settings, I never know if it's the eco mode that drives this (doubtful) or because the app is rewriting things (because I remember in the app there was somesort of "automation" setting that will try and charge based on the weather etc which I think is the one that's changing stuff but I can't find it on the app anymore!!)

Sorry, really newb question and if it's been answered elsewhere please point me in the direction, I've tried trawlling through the pages here but can't really see that it's been answered so I'm thinking maybe I've just misunderstood something.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

lukesarge this is what you need to do:

Tariff Panel: Remove any tariff automations if you have any set.

My Inverter Panel. Settings

Reset to defaults
ECO mode enabled
Set timed charge if you have a cheap overnight tariff

Done

cluelesscris Thanks for your help sir, I've done that and will keep tabs. I'm guessing it was the tariff automation that was playing with the charge/discharge times (I'd forgotten that's where that was!)

I'm on Octopus Agile so for now I've just set it to charge between midnight and 5am as they're generally lowest between these times, however wondering if it might just be as simple to leave it on eco and just leave times charged deactivated.

Anyway, thanks for the pointers on the tariff automation, much appreciated. 😄

lukesarge If you're on agile octopus I'd recommend the Octopus R&D automations from octopus themselves

Hi do you need to have the set time charge to enable or disabled ?
With the ECO mode enabled to.

Basham You can do both. With a timed charge the inverter will override ECO mode during the specified time period. It will then revert to ECO at the end of the period.
