Stopping cross charging

Hi all. Finally got my system commissioned last Friday after a very long wait.

I've got 2x ac3 and 2x9.5 batteries.

Now I was aware from reading verious forums that there were some issues with a plant setup. Namely cross charging and the batteries not discharging in sync.

However I'd got the impression that cross charging was something that happened infrequently so could be lived with until the new fix is available.

In the 4 days I've had the system so far it's cross charged every day!

So, can I just check a few things:

• is the only way to stop the cross charging when it's happening to restart the inverter that's charging?

• can that only be done from the portal and not the app?

• is there a way to be notified in the app when an inverter is charging outside of its set schedule?

I have, but I suspect my situation is different to most.

I only have batteries, no solar. So what I do is set the charge rate to 0 during the day and only enable it in the evening just before the batteries are due to charge for real.

Thanks for quick response, which is really helpful as I am in the same/ a similar situation with 2 A/c converters, 2 9.5 kWh batteries but no solar. I'll definitely give it a go.
I was hoping GE would come out with a software update to resolve this before next winter - A/C cross-charging becomes a real problem then as we have an ASHP!

Thanks. Yes, I find it's usually the easiest way to reset the inverters. Pity the reset doesn't stop the problem for long - so your suggestion should work better. Cheers.

It works as long as you spot cross charging is happening 🙂

I found I'd have to be staring at the app all day in case it happened. That soon got boring so went with the switching off charging until needed option.
