My Dongle light is flashing blue and not permanent blue, and on the App it states inverter is offline.
My inverter is SA2229G098.
I had electrician out a couple of days ago and he reconnected to our internet router but its gone off again.
We now cannot view our solar system
Can you help because we were told by electrician if not on line then panels won’t generate anything
Start with the simple things. I would suggest you re-boot your house WiFi router, to see if the dongle reconnects. The dongles are notoriously awkward - sometimes it can take half an hour to re-connect, so be patient.
As you may know, the GE dongles are quite fussy about signal strength. If your signal is medium to low at the dongle, you may need to consider ways to improve it.
(Even when offline, your system should still continue to operate in whatever mode it was in when it went offline).
Download a wifi signal strength app such as Wifi Analyzer for android.
Check if you are getting a strong enough signal to the place you inverter is fitted. Needs to be consistently above 50% signal strength.
If it's not, then consider getting a wifi booster, a netgear one is about £30.
ToothyChris my internal internet went off for three days when we were away (ups lost power which supplies the router etc so went flat). Still generated about 29kwh. So yes it all still works.
But the portal does show a hole in the data. 🙁.
