Hi all, I am new here. We have had our 9.5 system installed just about a mouth now. And it mostly behaves brilliantly. However, we have had a couple of drops from around 20% to 5% and today the drop was from 60%
Is there something I need to do to to sort this out or is it something that just happens.
It is a very well known issue, which GE is trying to resolve, called the SOC (State of Charge) bug. You will see massive threads on here about this, and the new software which is currently in beta testing.
Sometimes it jumps up to 100% and sometimes down to empty. It each case it is correcting itself, so the 'new' value is likely to be accurate.

We have similar problem today also. Perfectly sunny day, got to about 1 kW of solar input then suddenly at exactly 9 o'clock dropped to about 180 W. Next thing I know the battery has dropped to 1% and now I the battery is being charged from the grid when we should be up to way over 1 kW of solar power! Not happy either.😠
Cloud9 The battery will perform a safety charge, if the voltage falls too low. This may be what you are seeing here - following an SOC crash. But I can't see why that would affect your solar input....

It's almost as if the inverter is throttling back and restricting the solar input. It's gone up to 1.6 kW input right now but I suspect it should be a bit more by this time of day. I've only had the system two weeks so not sure what to expect at the moment.
