Does a home display exist?

Beyond the GivTCP/Node Red/MQTT/Home Assistant type options, are there any in home displays available that integrate with GivEnergy?

Rather than mounting an iPad to the wall with the app running 🙂

pacemaker I use two old mobile phones saved from the upgrade graveyard - otherwise known as the drawer in the utility! One is in the kitchen to help know when we can use the oven and or dishwasher. The other is in the utility next to the washing machine and tumble dryer. Any wifi connected device with a browser will do. I did have a tablet for it but thats now donated to a local school.

One thing I want to do is use one of the BusyLight things to integrate so it just displays a traffic-light kind of thing. But I'd probably want to do something with a few of those, so it shows the traffic lights for the next 4 1/2 hour periods... (i.e. just make my own with a few LEDs)

cluelesscris what are these using? Are they connected to a server in your house or just to the Givenergy app or dashboard?

I have dreams of making a colour eink display with a Pi. Inky Impressions has 7 colour 7" ones now that are very low power.

BarleyRiser Both. The kitchen one is primarily connected to the GE Dashboard as it has a parger screen. The small one in the utility is connected to the app and almost always remains on the power flows. Both are permanently powered with a screen timeout of 30 seconds. I somethimes use the one in the ketchen to access my local home assisant as it allows me to control the outside lights and water valves (we have a barn and stables).

pacemaker They run on either - the Dakboard runs off GivTCP, the Webpage uses a mix of the API, givTCP, Home Assistant & Goodwe.
Beyond Richards homemade app i'm not aware of anything that interfaces direct with the inverter without "something" sitting in the middle such as an RPi / the GE Cloud and so on...

I know the Pi right now is a bit of a comedy price but your not forced to use one for Home Assistant - it runs fine on pretty much any old PC. I run mine on a Dell Wyse that cost £30.

I'm using an old phone too. Samsung S9 on a wireless charging cradle. I've turned off all security (pin code etc) and leave it on the Givenergy app. When you pick it up off the cradle the screen comes on automatically and shows the Givenergy app screen. It's also got a bunch of google home buttons and automations on the homescreen as we refuse to use voice control!

hoggy I have found Richard Russell's inverter app to be invaluable on Android but I believe there is a download for iPhones, too. Does anyone have the link? I can't find it anymore.

wrefordj Search the app store for "inverter". It's still there, updated a week ago.
