No charge last night
System installed 4 months ago.
Using Octo R&D been charging off peak every night - all OK.
Last night, no charge!!
Any ideas.

No charge last night

The R&D app is / was down yesterday and today.
Thanks.
I was just about to post that I went in to check settings and keep getting a failed connection.
I think what this means is that in order to run Octo R&D settings (or similar) the inverter always needs an internet connection with Octo (or other)
Are GE settings the same, or does the dongle or inverter hold the last settings and allow the inverter to run autonomously.
If internet is always required, this makes an EPS circuit powering the router a good idea.
when GE had their outage last week my timed charge still worked. The charts looked all weird but the charge worked.
Thanks
Maybe the GE products hold GE settings, but 3rd party stuff needs to always be online
Yeah, someone said their earlier agile slots worked, but the later ones failed - as Octopus couldn't talk to the GivEnergy API when it was down.
Guess you run the risk of being stuck in a mode that you wanted to be temporary in such circumstances.
Worth investigating local automation just in case e.g. GivTCP in docker or with home assistant. Etc.

The inverter will do the last thing it was told (be that something you've set it to, or an external influence such as the R&D app or cloud)
Not so much an issue if your on say Octopus GO as the timers are static, a bit more of an issue on Agile if it's been told to charge in a slot and then it can't get the signal to either stop, pick the next slots and so on.
This was however an Octopus fault this time around, not Givenergy related.

Mentioned on numerous groups last night R&D was down.
Manual charge set via GivEnery portal and it works.
For now I've removed R&D till it's more stable. Bee slowly going down hill past few weeks
